The Thompson Falls boys and girls’ track teams are saving up their energy for the final and most critical juncture of the season.

The Bluehawks, Lady Bluehawks’ track teams only have three track meets left during the season and two of them are the biggest track meets of the year for both teams.

T-Falls will travel to Bigfork on May 12 and then proceed to Class B Divisionals in Frenchtown May 17-18 before concluding their season at the State track meet on May 24-26, for those participants that qualify.

T-Falls was able to compete solidly at the Archie Row Meet Saturday afternoon at Kalispell.

Danny Hoisington continued to solidify his place as one of the top-tier jumpers in Class B. Hoisington finished in fifth place with a triple jump of 40 feet, 1.5 inches.

Maya Stiles also set a personal record with a pole vault distance of 8 feet, 9 inches at Archie Row and finished fifth.

Other performers that stood out were the 4X100 junior varsity relay team consisting of Megan Baxter, Jolia Buchanan, Brooke Bowlin and Lily VanHuss recording a time of 58.20 seconds and a fourth-place finish.

The Bluehawks’ final regular season meet will be May 12 at Bigfork High School.

This will be followed by two postseason meets including Class B Divisionals in Frenchtown May 17-18 and the Class B state meet May 24-26 at Laurel High School.
